Sony Pictures held a business presentation to talk about the current state of affairs. The film company confirmed that it continues to strengthen its collaboration with sister Sony Interactive Entertainment – popular PlayStation franchises are being prepared for screen adaptations.
The following details were revealed at the presentation:
- A series on Horizon is in the works, due out on Netflix.
- A series on God of War is in the works, due out on Amazon Prime Video.
- A Gran Turismo series is in the discussion stage, no deal with venues yet.
Bosses at Sony Pictures also reminded us that they are now moving toward a tape release for The Last of Us (HBO site; filming is already underway), Twisted Metal (Peacock site; casting is underway) and Ghost of Tsushima (screenwriter found).
Sony Pictures has already had a successful launch of a game adaptation: Ancharted: It’s Not on the Map has exceeded the company’s expectations and is now preparing for a sequel.
